Enlarging Thumbnail With A Flash Style, Similar To Cms Plugins?

This entry was posted by on Monday, 23 November, 2009

Hi
I have been using Wordpress for some time now and love the thumbnail gallery type plugins that are available.
It is possible to create something similar in a general non CMS website, not using Flash itself? I can do the basic type with JavaScript or html but I want to jazz it up a little.
Example of thumbnail:

Scroll to the bottom.
Thanks you for your time.

  1. Yes. This is done using ajax (a type of advanced Javascript in a couple of words).
The element effect is called “Lightbox”. Search for “Ajax Lightbox” or “Lightbox XHTML” in google. There are loads of free scripts out there for you.
